Your New Relationship
Day 142
Ask yourself two questions: Is my new relationship
God-centered or me-centered? Why do I want this new relationship?
Gretchen says, “Over the years I have seen people so
desperate for marriage right after their husbands had died. They were so desperate
to get married again that they would just run the men down. I’ve seen men do
the same thing with women. They would think, I just can’t do without a person
in the house with me, and it didn’t work out. It wasn’t God-centered. It was
me-centered.”
Take an honest look at your new relationship and decide if
this relationship will bring honor and glory to God. If you aren’t sure, then
wait, pray, and seek God’s guidance to distinguish His will from your will. His
will is always best for you.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans
12:2).
Thy will be done, Lord, not mine. Amen.
